I commend the dedication of Shamil Jeppie and his team. This tragedy is both human and intellectual. We must try to intervene and alleviate both. Perhaps Shamil’s idea of sending relief aid to the region may allow the manuscripts to be moved to safety elsewhere in the country or the region.
